YOUR ROLE
Our operation in Childerditch is looking for a Transport Supervisor where you will contribute to the smooth, safe and efficient operational activities and ensure resource is allocated appropriately to effectively balance the service and cost demands.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Contract Manager you will manage a team of HGV drivers and Van drivers. You will ensure the product allocation and routes are planned. Your other day to day activities will include:
Maintaining and improving compliance with H&S, transport, and O’ licence requirements through continuous professional development and being aware of all legislative changes that affect the operation.
Closely monitoring the client volume forecasts, plan and adjust resources levels to ensure that they are in line with operational requirements.
Ensuring that the transport operation, drivers and fleet are ran fully in line with CEVA policy and are fully compliant with DVSA requirements and the obligation of our O-licence.
Ensuring the efficient and effective achievement of all operational targets and key performance indicators.
Ensuring that customer requirements are always fulfilled to the highest possible standards.
Ensuring excellent working relationships with the client
Driving, encouraging and developing a safety culture amongst colleagues.
This is a Monday to Friday role, 06:00 -14:30.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a transport environment, along with knowledge of tachograph legislation and working time directive. Preferably you will have Operators Licence and CPC qualifications. You will have experience managing a team. You will be customer focused and a confident decision maker. You will be IT literate with the ability to use MS Office packages.
