Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority, based in the East Midlands, which is currently in need of a Planning and Highways Paralegal to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your legal repertoire and experience a thriving council.
Role: Planning and Highways Paralegal
Location: East Midlands, hybrid working
Rate: £15 to 18ph umbrella
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing (opportunity for it to be extended up to 2 years)
The Role:
- To undertake casework and support other officers on matters relating to Planning and Highways law
- To develop and maintain knowledge of Planning and Highways law
- To act on behalf of the customers in legal proceedings and to attend and advise at meetings both internally and externally
The Person:
- Someone with an LLB/LLM and ideally an LPC
- Someone with experience of working within a busy legal team
- Legal knowledge of either Planning or Highways law, ideally both, is advantageous
