Summary
We were going to advertise for a ‘Business Development Manager’. But that would be a very boring title for what is a very exciting job.
Call it what you like – but what we’re really after is someone to put the HOT into HOTEL.
You see, when we launched the first Hotel Gotham in Manchester, it was billed as ‘Europe’s sexiest hotel’. Now it’s Newcastle’s time to enjoy the Gotham effect. So, whoever takes on this role will be developing more than just business. Gotham is a way of life. A vibe. A 5-star-studded, theatrical, vibrant, stylish, dramatic experience – for guests and staff.
We want someone to reach for the stars.
You’ll need to be energetic, charming, proactive and entrepreneurial. A bit of a multi-tasking marvel. And you’ll have the experience, ability and determination to:
- Quickly attune yourself to the Hotel Gotham and Bespoke Hotels brands
- Develop and execute a winning business development strategy.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through positive relationships with corporate accounts, travel agencies, and key industry players.
- Conduct and act on market research, competitor analysis and performance metrics.
- Create compelling, creative proposals with your sales and marketing teams.
- Represent Hotel Gotham at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
You’ll also have …
- A degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven communication, negotiation, time-management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
