ICHIBANYA CO., LTD is a well-established company in providing Japanese style Curry since 1982 in Japan under the brand name of Curry House CoCo Ichibanya. (https://www.ichibanya.co.jp/english/ )
In 2017, it opened its UK entity which will be wholly owned subsidiary and its first foot outlet was opened in central London in 2018. As of now, the company is operating two restaurants in the UK.
ICHIBANYA CO., LTD.is considered an upscale, full-service curry restaurants that allows customer full range of customisation which is unique in the industry.
Our mission and business objectives in the UK are:
• To provide high quality customer service, as described in our company motto
“"Briskly, Sharply, and with a Smile"
• To build trust and establish brand recognition for new customers and distributors in the UK and Europe.
• To promote our brand name in the UK and Europe.
• To be involved in activities that contribute to the communities in the
UK and societies for local development.
ICHIBANYA UK LTD is operating 2 branches based in central London and planning to expand further.
With this growth, the ideal candidate will bring to the table a proven operational experience in running food chain restaurant and formulating an ambitious strategy in leading the business to further expansion, with a solid understanding of food preparation/stock control/Staff management,
reporting to the General Manager, he/she will have direct responsibility for organising all aspect of day to day running of branch tasks.
Other duties include:
Responsibilities and Duties
• Coordinate the services and resource to enable efficient running of branch including food preparation, customer service quality and sales performance.
• Assigns and delegates tasks and duties to the team, makes changes in procedures to deal with variations in workload and monitors the level of service to meet the level expected of the company.
• Facilitate successful internal processes and system to recruit, train, manage and motivate team colleagues. Recommends and implements procedural and policy changes if necessary to the benefit of the company.
• Organise marketing activities, such as promotional events.
• Maintain high standards of quality control in all aspect of branch operation, especially food quality and hygiene
• Ensure the branch operates in the full compliance of local/national regulations, especially Health and Safety.
• Support general manager and liaises with other senior staff
In relation to business strategy by analysing restaurant sales levels and profitability.
Skills and Qualifications
• Educated to a degree level or equivalent
• Proven track record/experience working in national/international food restaurant chain at management level.
• Previous exposure to food retail industry within an employment setting is essential.
• Good communication skills, both speaking and writing, in English is essential as the role will involve administering training to staff and reporting to management as well as dealing with English speaking customers and suppliers on a day to day basis
• Health and safety training is desired.
• Only those who has current valid right to work in UK will be considered.
