We have a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant in the team at our National Credit Management Centre in Glasgow. 12 month Fixed term maternity cover.

As an Accounts Assistant with STARK Building Materials UK Limited, you'll provide key support to the Sales ledger department by ensuring efficient, timely and accurate account payment recording and processing.

Hours of work 37.5 hours per week once fully trained Hybrid working 3 days per week in the office

Monday to Friday 8-430pm or 830am to 5pm

Plus one Saturday per month 8am to 12noon

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processing of debit/credit card receipts, Cheque & BACS payments.
  • Allocating customer payment via remittances.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring they are dealt with in a professional manner and meet agreed company standards.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and other ad hoc duties as required.

Key skills/attributes

  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Good numerical skills and are computer literate.
  • An excellent attention to detail alongside the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Flexibility in your approach to work and enjoy working as part of a team.
