We have an exciting opportunity available for a full time consultant neurosurgeon (adults) with a specialist interest in neuro-oncology to join our team to start in September 2024.

Your Responsibilities

What you’ll do

This is a full-time post as a consultant neurosurgeon with a specialist interest in neuro-oncology. The department has separate rotas for spinal surgery, adult cranial neurosurgery, and paediatric neurosurgery. This post is an adult cranial job working alongside the 3 other neuro-oncology surgeons, Mr Grundy, Mr Durnford and Ms Roach as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team delivering all neuro-oncology surgery for the region. What we’re looking for

The successful applicant will be sub-specialty fellowship trained in neuro-oncology surgery in a nationally approved fellowship. This role will develop research, clinical trials and education in neuro-oncology surgery and the successful applicant will be expected to be qualified and experienced in delivering on this entire portfolio. Individuals wishing to apply must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).

The successful candidate will be employed under the terms and conditions of service for Consultants (England) 2003.
