MRI link progression training post Band 5/6.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to learn a new modality and develop and maintain excellent clinical competence in all areas of MRI.
With the support of your colleagues and your own self - motivation, you will learn to become proficient in this fascinating area of Radiology.
The MRI Radiographers and Assistants work closely together to maximise efficiency and discuss problems together. All sites communicate well to help each other, especially with difficult cases or in times of scanner breakdowns.
All team members are valued and their contributions welcomed. They are polite and professional to one another and good friends.
You will work in the BRI / BRCH sites and occasionally WGH to be a part of the large MRI team. We scan a wide range of examinations , including Oncology, Neuro, Paediatric and Intensive care patients.
You will need to be able to be flexible and have a desire to learn a completely new way of working. You will need to support the patients through their scans, keeping them and your colleagues safe, as well as producing high quality images to aid the Radiologists in their diagnosis. The day list will be the responsibility of all staff and it is essential to liaise closely with the wards and MRI clerical staff to ensure this runs smoothly
