Summary

At AXA Health, we're looking for an Occupational Health Technician to join our Occupational Health team covering several of our UK based clients. Client sites include Northampton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Birmingham and Midlands area. You’ll conduct health surveillance and fitness for work assessments, working under indirect clinical supervision. You’ll provide aspects of health screening, as agreed and relevant to your level of experience. We work across a diverse range of business sectors including food industry, engineering, and manufacturing. You'll have a vital role in the health and wellbeing journey of client’s employees. This role can involve significant travel and occasional overnight stays, with expenses fully paid. A driving licence is required and we offer either a company car or car cash allowance. The role is full time with flexible working arrangements in place to include condensed hours over 4 longer days, to include some travel time. Full induction training will be given, and all clinical equipment will be provided by AXA Health.
At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you will predominantly travel to visit client sites as required. For longer distances, travel time will be included.
What you’ll be doing:

Complete health surveillance tests and fitness for work assessments in accordance with AXA protocols and evidence-based practice. This will include audiometry, spirometry, skin checks, basic level hand arm vibration screening, forklift truck assessments, working at height assessments.
Maintain Occupational Health records ensuring data entered into client records is accurate, concise and coherent.
Use health and safety legislation (for example, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations and Display Screen Equipment Regulations).
Be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of equipment and stocking of consumables.
Work unsupervised under indirect clinical supervision.
Escalate any clinical issues in a timely manner and act on any clinical instruction and guidance.
