Salary Point 12-17 £22,827.74 - £24,857.28
Pay Award Pending
Pattern of Hours will be Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm (can be flexible) with half an hour unpaid lunch break each day, and an early finish of 3.30pm one day per week.
Term time only plus 5 days

PRIME OBJECTIVES OF THE POST:
To provide a comprehensive range of high-quality administrative support for the Trust Director of Inclusion and SENDCos to ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day activities operate efficiently and effectively.
RESPONSIBLE TO The Trust Director of Inclusion, THE POST HOLDER WILL:

<u>Key Responsibilities:</u>

Provide administration support for Director of Inclusion and SENDCos across the Trust


Provide administration support, including the gathering and collating of key information, organisation of, minutes and action points for Annual Reviews where individual schools request it


Support the SEND team across the trust with communication with parents, carers and external agencies


Produce correspondence and reports from written documents and other sources
Liaise with staff, parents and external agencies as appropriate, sharing information as directed and ensuring local procedures are properly followed
Maintain all paper and electronic filing systems, including establishment of new files, maintaining and updating information as required
Support Trust director and SENCos in developing strategies to increase parent/carer engagement in SEND: liaise with parents/carers to increase engagement in the annual review of EHCPs, frequent progress reviews (SLPs), participation in SEND Parent events, for example
Construct costed provision maps and analysing new EHCPs for funding/provision


Support with funding applications linked to EHCPS


Support the student referral process to external support agencies
Use data to identify trends in student and parent engagement with reviews
Word processing, including taking and distributing minutes from meetings, completing pre and post AR/EHCP paperwork and taking minutes when required

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

A sound knowledge of all administrative supporting procedures



A sound knowledge and understanding of statutory practices related to SEND (or be willing to quickly develop this knowledge and understanding)



Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills



The ability to work under extreme pressure and demands



Ambition and the capacity for hard work



Experience of working within a team and on own initiative.

Variation in Role
Given the dynamic nature of the role and structure of Moorlands Learning Trust, it must be accepted that, as the Trust’s work develops and changes, there will be a need for adjustments to the role and responsibilities of the post. The duties specified above are, therefore, not to be regarded as either exclusive or exhaustive. They may change from time to time commensurate with the grading level of the post and following consultation with the post holder.
Probationary Period
All Support Staff new to Moorlands Learning Trust will undertake a six-month probationary programme.
