Job Title: Student Counsellor Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 15th September 2025, Term Time Only, plus Inset Days, 30 hours per week Salary: CLF 10 - £33,450 to £37,129 Actual Salary: £23,224 per annum Start: September 2024 We are looking for a Student Counsellor to join our supportive and talented team at Bristol Metropolitan Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.   What we are looking for:  To be successful in this post, we are looking for someone to provide a professional and confidential, integrative counselling service to students experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional issues.  Promote emotional health and well‐being to enable young people to access academy life. Develop student resilience to support them to cope with any challenges they face.  Assist colleagues to develop skills and strategies to support students. This role has significant responsibility for ensuring safeguarding practice within the academy. This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.  The successful applicant will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive pre-employment checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK and a child disqualification check. The checks will also include an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list.
