Job OverviewBased on Sellafield this role offers a competitive salary and benefits package including the option of a 9-day fortnight working pattern. Supporting Mitie Hard Services, projects and subcontractors were required in in the organising and planning of works to ensure safe and successful delivery.Main Duties
-Carry out scoping to define task detail and methodology.
-To proactively facilitate stakeholder discussions upon request to ensure consultation and engagement with key stakeholder.
-Selection and agreement of an appropriate safe system of work to ensure suitable control appropriate to task risk.
-To identify, engage and book supporting resources for 3rd party enabling works such as scaffolding, health physics monitors, asbestos survey/sampling or supporting.
-To compile a suitable and sufficient work pack to facilitate works including various document including risk assessment, method statement, permits, isolations, drawings, and additional supporting information where required.
-To facilitate and ensure that a suitable and sufficient risk assessment is prepared to effectively identify and control risks.
-Agreeing with key stakeholders, the level of supervision required and who is accountable for supervision of safety.
-To define the competency requirements of the task. To archive Safe Systems of Work documentation, in accordance with document control procedures.
What we are looking for
-Relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil disciplines is desirable.
-Must have ability to professionally liaise with client representatives and management.
-Be able to organise work and liaise with operational teams to deliver.
-Good general knowledge of health and safety, facilities services and operational practices would be advantageous.
-Experience in writing and understanding of risk assessments/method statements and knowledge of permit to work systems be highly advantageous.
-IOSH Managing Safely certificate or above (although this can be provided). Full clean driving license.
