Summary


The Professional Advocate Lead is a new role within NWAngliaFT and an exciting opportunity for an experienced Professional Nurse Advocate or AHP Professional Advocate who is passionate about contributing to organisational culture through supporting local and national wellbeing agenda.

The Professional Advocate Lead is a skilled specialist responsible for leading and implementing the Professional Advocate service and the deployment of the A-EQUIP model, ensuring that nurses, nursing associates, health care support workers, allied health professionals and student nurses/AHPS can access restorative clinical supervision to support their wellbeing and professional development.

You will be a role model of compassionate leadership and ambassador to promote the well-being and empowerment of nurses, health care Assistants, Allied Health Professionals, student nurses and AHPS, leading on the delivery of programmes of improvement and change, contributing to a workplace culture of improved patient safety and experience outcomes for service users and staff.

You will utilise a structured approach identifying areas within the healthcare delivery process which require improvement. Achieving this through clinical support, wellbeing support and professional development in line with national guidance issued by NHS England in 2021.

· The post holder will lead the implementation and embedding of the professional Advocate role across NWAngliaFT.

· Lead and co-ordinate the trust Professional Advocate group to ensure all nurses, health care support workers, AHPS and nursing/AHP students have access to Restorative Clinical Supervision (RCS).

· Create a matrix and trajectory to identify number of professional advocates required in line with national guidance of professional advocate to staff ratio, liaising with HEI providers to secure professional advocacy training places.

· Plan and develop in-house educational opportunities for the professional advocate group in relation to skill development and empowerment within the role.
