Permanent, part time (35 hpw), working as part of a rota involving early, late and weekend shifts.

Typical day as our Support Worker
• Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
• We're Ofsted registered, so not only must we ensure high quality support and documentation, we ensure the Ofsted standards are met.
• Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
• Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
• Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.

You bring
• Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail
• Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children
• The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach
• Recognise every customer is different and you’re able to adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs

Our team
You’ll join John our Ofsted registered manager, Nicola our Senior Client Service manager and Sarah our Client Service Manager alongside our Middlesbrough team of support co-ordinators and support workers. We’re super passionate about what we do! We’re a supportive bunch and ensure a work/ life balance! This is a new service for Home Group so you will be part of the core that embeds quality into the service right from the beginning! Don’t worry though; you will be given a full induction to Home Group and you will receive continuous training on your job role.
Job details
• Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
• You will work as part of a rolling rota involving early and late shifts and alternate weekends. You will have a customer case load and an expectation that you manager your own diary to ensure our customers support needs are met.
• Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
