Job Opportunity WithYou in Redcar and Cleveland is a free and confidential service for people affected by drugs and alcohol. WithYou in Redcar & Cleveland is part of the THRIVE partnership, an integrated substance use, domestic abuse and education/recovery support service. WithYou, Harbour and ITS in Redcar and Cleveland are part of the THRIVE partnership. This integrated domestic abuse and substance use service are looking to recruit a multi-skilled staff members to deliver substance use and domestic abuse interventions within the local authority safeguarding teams. The staff will be responsible to respond quickly to high risk safeguarding situations, making sure that people receive appropriate support and guidance. About the role Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they're always treated with respect and dignity. Essential Skills What we're looking for We're looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential. You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you will: have knowledge and experience of substance misuse and interventions have experience assessing risk and completing risk assessments have knowledge of safeguarding adults and children have a high standard of verbal and written communication skills have some knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse A full job description and person specification are available on request by emailing .
