We are looking to appoint a Lead Site Supervisor to join our successful site management team, due to the retirement of the current post holder.
The post is permanent and based at Conyers School in Yarm.
The post holder will work under the direction of the Facilities Manager, will manage and work with the other members of the site team to:
● Ensure that all Health and Safety and safeguarding measures are in place and adhered to
● Ensure a range of health and safety compliance checks are completed as required.
● Manage a team of site service personnel
● Ensure the readiness and cleanliness of the School and school grounds
● Carry out a range of repairs, maintenance and refurbishment tasks.
● Be responsible for key holding and opening and closing of the school
● Carry out planned maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is dedicated to maintaining high standards, capable of independently prioritising their tasks and those of the site team, and attentive to areas within the school that need attention. Strong DIY skills are advantageous.
This is a shift-based position, requiring flexibility and a willingness to alternate shifts, including occasional late evenings.
While the position is primarily based at Conyers School, you may occasionally be required to work at other schools within the trust. Therefore, having your own transport and business insurance is essential.
The 1590 Trust are in the process of consulting on the proposal to merge with Vision Academy Learning Trust (VALT) to form Vision 1590 Trust with a proposed merger date of 01 September 2024
The 1590 Trust currently includes Conyers School (Yarm), Levendale School (Yarm), Layfield School (Yarm), Kirklevington School (Kirklevington), Bader School (Thornaby), Bewley School (Billingham), and Whitehouse School (Stockton). After the merger, the Trust will expand to include 8 additional schools across Stockton, Redcar & Cleveland, and Middlesbrough.
