Job summary:
In order to achieve our ambitious goals, we need to ensure the best IT solutions are made available throughout The Charity. From providing team members with the equipment they need, to extending the functionality of our CRM system, through to collaborating with all departments to scope and partake in pioneering new projects.

We’re offering a year long placement to a pro-active and positive-thinking person who wants to kick-start their career in IT.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a digitally minded and talented person on their placement year, or at the beginning of their IT career to gain experience at the centre of a small and busy team. This placement starts July 2024.

Who we’re looking for:
With a warm and engaging manner, you’ll have excellent written and oral communication skills, be confident to build relationships and support team members at all levels and across all channels (face to face, phone, email) and will be passionate about developing your skills to support the wider team to use our IT systems and services, including our CRM (Salesforce) and Microsoft 365 environment.

Key accountabilities:
• Take part in the IT team’s daily Scrums to triage requests, share ideas and discuss solutions
• Utilise the ticketing system as the centralised tool to communicate and provide solutions to requests
• Collaborate in IT projects across the organisation
• Collaborate with our IT support provider to enable users
• Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of IT systems and services when team members, volunteers and contractors join or leave The Charity (or move teams or roles), ensuring the process is efficient and the experience is outstanding

Experience:
• Confident IT user with strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and Windows environments
• Working to and delivering targets and evaluating results
• Developing and documenting processes and systems
• Working as part of a team and contributing to group and individual targets
• Working with a range of people, remotely or face-to-face, understanding their needs and delivering communication in an efficient and empathetic way

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Understanding of CRM systems
• Comfortable setting and working within SLAs
• Familiar with Ticketing/support systems
• Operating within a Microsoft environment
• Understanding of user hardware requirements
• Organised, self-starter and capable of taking initiative
• A team player with the willingness to work flexibly and proactively and respond to the emerging needs of The Charity
• Live within commutable distance of our office in Fleet

What we’d like to give you:
Location: While contracted to our office in Fleet, Hampshire, our team supports a blend of office and home working provided you have adequate broadband and IT capability, with 3-4 days (Mon-Thurs) in the office each week.
Working hours: This role is 37.5 per week, with some out of hours working.
Benchmarked salary: c.£23,400 (dependent on level)
