We are looking for someone who is positive and passionate about promoting White Cliffs Country, and who always goes the extra mile for their customer!
Would you like to contribute to the regeneration and visitor economy of the Dover district, and help make White Cliffs Country a great place to live, work, visit, learn and invest?
You can do so by applying to be a casual Visitor Services Officer based at our award-winning Visitor Information Centre in Dover Museum.
You will:
- Deliver effective and efficient high-quality customer service relevant to both visitors to the area and residents, through face-to-face, email, web and telephone contact.
- Always ensure the highest possible standard of service delivery.
- Contribute to income targets through retail and agency sales and event promotion.
- Welcome visitors to and provide information about Dover Museum.
You will have:
- Experience of working in a face-to-face customer service environment
- Strong local knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A high standard of written and spoken English
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Good selling and promotional skills
- Experience working with groups and schools
- The ability to speak a second language would be an advantage.
The post is casual to cover the needs of the business and you will primarily be required on Saturdays and Sundays.
Additional hours (including bank holidays and occasional evenings) may be available.
