About the role
You will look after marketing and promoting our full Events offer at the Science Museum, London. This includes looking after social media platforms (Instagram, twitter and LinkedIn) and copywriting engaging content to attract a range of Event bookings in our unique venue spaces.

With a proactive approach to engaging and promoting new business, you will utilise your stakeholders and research to create content to further grow audiences and enhance our rates of Venue hire. You will work across a range of marketing platforms, but primarily newsletters, websites, and social media.

You will also be the first point of contact for any new and existing clients wishing to host an event with us, responding to queries as they come in, and supplying the client with a bespoke proposal based on their event brief. You will conduct site visits with the client and contractors and will account manage your clients to increase repeat bookings.

Contract: Permanent, Full time 35hrs
Salary: £26,000 - £29,400 per annum

About you
Whilst knowledge or exposure to Events is ideal, our focus will be on your ability to promote and build new business through engaging marketing materials and platforms. You have a customer service approach to building business and sales and know how to target your audiences.

You will have copywriting experience with good creative writing skills, to support your work in creating social media posts and writing copy for newsletters and the website.

You will also have experience in managing professional social media platforms, with an understanding of how to track the efficacy of your content, target specific client groups, and adjust content to the relevant platform/audiences.
