In this interesting role within the Commercial Clients team, you'll be providing relationship management to a portfolio of Santander clients based on the South Coast. As well as providing a high level of support to our existing clients, you'll be integral in winning new clients (turnover up to £15m), that will develop into the Corporate Clients of the future.

We pride ourselves on the level of service that we offer to those clients that we have won, aiming not just to retain their business, but to grow with them and to turn them in to advocates, who will then themselves introduce new clients from across their network.

If you're a talented and driven individual with an in depth understanding of business finance, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop your career.

The difference you'll make:

  • Managing, supporting, and retaining an existing portfolio of commercial customers

  • Delivering sustainable growth by building existing client loyalty and identifying and winning opportunities to bring new high value clients to the Bank

  • Driving high levels of client insight and creating advocates of the Corporate Bank through your portfolio and wider network

  • Delivering high levels of activity across prospects, existing clients and KBIs

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of a network of introducers in the professional business community

  • Exercising the operational and control activities required in managing customers and transactions

What you'll bring:

  • In depth understanding business finance and accounting methods

  • Previous relationship management experience within the SME sector

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Business development experience supporting the origination of new customers and growing portfolios

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload to ensure client and business deadlines are met

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM system

  • Well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

What else you need to know:

We want our people to thrive at work and home, and we recognise that many people benefit from flexible arrangements. To enable us to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop we understand the importance of having the right balance of spending time together in an office while maintaining flexibility.

By working this way, we can continue to create moments that matter for everyone. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and we're happy to discuss specific requirements throughout the recruitment process.

Our preferred location for this permanent role is Bournemouth and current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week. We would also encourage you to apply if you are based anywhere on the south coast of England.

If you're interested in this role but with part time hours or a job-share we would still love to hear from you and discuss these.
