You will be joining the outdoor Welcome Team based at Fell Foot Park which is situated at the bottom of Windermere, England’s largest lake. The site welcomes 150,000 visitors a year, most of whom come to enjoy the open spaces, beautiful views, outdoor activities and access to the lake.
We are a small but dedicated team, all with different skill sets who enjoy working together to help people enjoy the outdoors and introduce them to the wonderful Lake District.
Salary: £11.64 per hour
Hours: 4 Part Time opportunities available: 3 days per week (total 300 hours for contract length)
All roles will include a high amount of weekend and bank holiday working but no evenings or split shifts
Contract: Fixed term until 15/09/24
These are urgent roles and we will interview and possibly appoint whilst the vacancy is open, therefore we’d encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
Reporting to The Welcome Manager at Fell Foot, you’ll be part of a team of the Welcome and Service Assistant Team working at Fell Foot and the Surrounding Windermere Area.
Day to day, you’ll be moving around the park, chatting with our visitors and providing a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll ensure visitors have the information they need, share the work of the National Trust and grow support through promoting memberships and fundraising.
The Welcome Team is also responsible for ensuring the site is presented to a high standard which includes cleaning the facilities, litter picking and sign checks.
As this is an outdoors role, you'll need to be comfortable being on your feet and working in all weather conditions.
This role will mainly be based at Fell Foot, but you will also be working at other nearby locations with prior arrangement.
We'd love to hear from you if you are:
customer focused with an understanding of the importance of great service
a team player, but also can work on your own initiative
well organised and adaptable
willing to learn new skills
have a positive attitude
