Are you passionate about making a real difference to the learning and lives of young people?
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students in Years 7-11 by providing high-quality cover for absent teachers. You will supervise classes, ensuring students engage with and complete the work set by their teachers. Additionally, you will organize the provision of cover supervisors, supply staff, and teaching staff to ensure all classes are covered efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our supportive close-working team in our secondary phase.
As our Cover Supervisor, you will support students’ learning by:
· Collaborating with class teachers to plan and deliver high-standard cover work.
· Assisting students in understanding and completing curriculum tasks set by the teacher.
· Providing feedback to class teachers on students’ progress.
· Managing the Provision of Cover Support.Manage the provision of Cover Support by:
· Booking supply staff cover as needed, adhering to protocols and budgetary constraints.
· Updating the staff absence list daily with unplanned absences.
· Deploying yourself, other cover supervisors and supply staff to ensure all lessons are covered, utilising permanent teaching staff when necessary.
· Perform administrative tasks to ensure cover supervisors and supply staff have the information they need.
What We’re Looking For:
Attributes: Hard-working, team-oriented, a ‘can-do’ attitude and an unconditional belief in the potential of all children. No prior experience of working in schools is necessary (but it would be a plus).
Skills: Excellent communication and organisation skills, creativity, adaptability, and the ability to think innovatively.
