About the role

The Development Quality Assurer role is all about making a real impact. You'll ensure learners have an outstanding and timely apprenticeship experience, empower Vocational Trainers with the skills and knowledge they need to help their learners thrive and drive performance and development to meet our key goals.

In a typical week, you'll spend at least three days visiting your team of Vocational Trainers across the London region to provide face-to-face support.

Daily duties will include:


Working side by side with Trainers, as they support their learners, to develop a high-quality and timely learning journey experience.
Promoting a culture of quality, helping individuals improve their teaching, learning, and the educational inspection framework.
Coaching and mentoring Trainers to address knowledge and skill gaps, in line with assessment plan requirements to meet planned end dates.
Overseeing the development of Vocational Trainers, using feedback from other departments to encourage good practices.
Identifying and communicating areas where skills are lacking, or performance is low.
Offering both in-person and remote training, coaching, and mentoring to help Vocational Trainers cover all aspects of apprenticeships.
Supporting staff members working on qualification, functional skills, or apprenticeships with development and assessment.
Providing full support and induction training for new Trainers according to the induction program.
Delivering staff training, and internal apprenticeships through one-on-one or group sessions, including consistency sessions, short courses, upskill training, and teacher training sessions.




About you

We're seeking passionate individuals who can help our Vocational Trainers shape the learning journeys of our students. We’re also looking for the following skills and experience:


Previous experience within a Quality role, with experience coaching and mentoring trainers.
A Level 4 TAQA qualification (or equivalent).
A Level 3 Teaching qualification.
Hands-on experience within the Hospitality and Catering industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An accredited coaching qualification is a plus.
Confidence in the delivery of functional skills
