This great apprenticeship with us is all about learning your trade, achieving your qualification whilst earning a good Apprentice
salary, and using your newfound skills to deliver a great service for our customers. You will work with a fully qualified Engineer
to work toward the criteria outlined in the full role description. You’re at your happiest knowing you have completed the job

Some of the stuff you'll be doing as one of our great Apprentices:

* Undertaking all electrical repairs and renovations identified within Acis housing stock and any other properties as instructed
in both tenanted and void properties
* Ensuring that the correct materials are identified and used to complete the work at the required quality standard
* Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports, installation and minor works certificates.
* Using and completing work details by use of a PDA hand held electronic device.
* Completing the necessary paperwork in relation to parts and material requisitions and orders etc., in a neat and accurate
manner and on time as directed by management.
* Identifying where necessary, the extent of repairs and installations required on site, with the aim to complete in one visit,
reporting any problems or further action required to the office.
* Being responsible for the regular timely maintenance and replenishment of vehicle material stocks.
* Liaising with tenants and your line manager concerning the timing and progress of work being undertaken.
* Ensuring the safe handling and storage of all plant and equipment, including regular checks for road-worthiness on vehicles for
which you are responsible.
* Carrying out work activities in line with current Approved Codes of Practice and in accordance with Building Regulations, IEE
wiring Regulations and the Electricity at Work Regulations 18th Edition.
* Working in a safe manner in respect of adherence to health and safety Regulations with regard to the safety of yourself, other
workers, customers and the general public.
* Carrying out work to localised risk assessments as your individual work task requires.
* Being flexible in working hours as the job demands.
* Undertaking further training and qualifications as the job role and changing legislation demands




What looks good to us from an Apprentice wanting to apply :

* English and Mathematics at level 2
* Level 2 in Electrical qualification achieved or in progress
* A genuine interest in pursuing a career in this field
* The ability to work well with people and learn ‘on the job’

* You will have a CSCS card (desirable)
* You are keen to learn, grasping opportunities for new experiences as they arise
* You have basic IT skills as you may be required to access outlook email and calendar
