Head & Neck division has an exciting opportunity to join the Head and Neck Oncology CNS team. The role includes supporting patients with Head and Neck (ENT & Maxillofacial) and Thyroid cancer patients from diagnosis, through treatment and follow up or palliative / end of life care.

The post holder will work along side senior Head & Neck CNS and an oncology support worker.

• To provide specialist nursing care in maintaining and developing a quality service for H&N cancer patients
• To take the key worker responsibility for a caseload of patients requiring specialist nursing care.
• To provide specialist training as required to support staff, ensuring the provision of high quality care in the most efficient and safe manner in accordance with Directorate and Hospital policies and procedures
• To support band 7 CNS in setting up nurse led clinics and in service improvement and in the smooth running of the service
• To support patients and families affected by H&N Cancer
• To work closely with other health care providers including wider oncology, District Nurses, GPs, Palliative team.

• To work and support with ENT, Maxillofacial and Thyroid cancer patients.
• To provide a quality service for H&N cancer patients

• Post holder will be expected to see patients in clinic, ward and occasionally may require home visit.
