The post holder will support the MHST Leadership Team in providing detailed and accurate data sets for the Mind in West Essex Mental Health in Schools Service. The post holder will work closely with the MHST Leadership team to ensure the information provided is appropriate and meaningful to effectively support the management of within the service. The post holder will support reporting and undertake audits to ensure high levels of data compliance including completing the necessary follow-up work.
The post holder will coordinate budgets and take a lead on to financial reporting for the MHSTs working closely with the Mind in West Essex Resources Team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
● Ensuring high levels of data compliance through the use of reports and other tools to improve quality.
● Routine checking and inputting of data on our case management system.
● Identify and investigate anomalies and initiate corrective action as required.
● Provide regular reports on performance and quality information to the Leadership team.
● Set up reports and provide data for the team as requested for both routine and ad hoc information requests.
● Support timely submission of national data sets and other required contract reporting within the respective timelines.
● Keep up to date with required data set changes and share learning with the team.
● Review the care pathway to ensure the existing processes and procedures are fit for purpose and identify any efficiencies or changes and improvements required.
● Support capacity and workforce planning with the Management team
● Maintain up to date knowledge of NHS data definitions/standards and attend training as appropriate
● Attend and contribute to regular MHST Data meetings
● Attend MHST assurance meetings when required
● Present information on key data requirements and reporting at MHST team meetings when required.
● Work closely with relevant managers to maintain and monitor MHST budgets and oversee to financial reporting relating to all MHST’s
● Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested.
● Collect and compile financial data across all teams. Accurately input this data into relevant financial schedules, ensuring consistency and precision in all entries.
● Assist in the reconciliation of accounts by comparing data with the finance records. Identify and rectify discrepancies to maintain accurate financial reporting.
● Ensure all financial data is up-to-date.
● Contribute to the preparation of financial monitoring by providing accurate and timely data.
● Following financial policies and procedures. Ensure MHST teams are in compliance with internal financial guidelines.
● Identify opportunities for improving data collection and input processes. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial data management.
● Create annual financial budget forecasts for each team.

● Under guidance and support taking appropriate safeguarding action to protect children and vulnerable adults at risk of significant harm.

● To share appropriate information with other agencies regarding the service users wellbeing and progress keeping within the boundaries of Confidentiality and Information sharing protocols.

● In the performance of their duties, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to clients and their care, staff and others. They may also have access to information relating to Impact as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
● Educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge & experience in information analysis
● Able to evidence experience of co-ordinating budgets and supporting financial reporting
● Previous experience in NHS/healthcare or MHST setting
Skills & Abilities
Essential
● Excellent IT skills including good working knowledge of Excel.
● Knowledge of Iaptus Electronic Patient Record database or similar database
● Management reporting skills
● Attention to detail
● Ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines
● Manage multiple work streams in a busy environment.
Personal Qualities
Essential
● High level of motivation.

Experience
Essential
● Experience in a similar analytical role
● Experience of reporting on large sets of data within a case management system

● Understanding of mental health services
● Knowledge of MHST performance and quality indicators
