Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Analysis and assessment of marine data sets, including fisheries data, fish stock assessments, and the impacts of fishing on the marine ecosystem (including multi-species interactions), marine spatial planning, and management (including management strategy evaluation);
Delivering high quality science that meets the needs of a variety of important Cefas customers ensuring that the science and associated advice is presented in an appropriate form;
Writing reports, presentation of results to a range of national and international science meetings and customers, including dealing with ad hoc requests for science and technical advice and contributing to scientific publications; and
Work on projects for the UK Government and other national and international bodies within multi-disciplinary international teams across Cefas UK and overseas collaborators.
In addition, Cefas reserves the right to ask staff to take on additional duties and responsibilities which are commensurate with their grade. Team Leaders and management will have a discussion with staff to explain the changes that are to be made. A new job description will be issued if required.
