Summary
The job role will involve delivering data outputs which have been highly quality controlled to use for national assessments on monitoring and evaluating the UKs ecological state for eutrophication and biodiversity (pelagic habitats) to Defra/OSPAR.
This is a marine environment focused position in a group responsible for the collection of marine monitoring data. As well as the primary data work, there are likely to be some opportunities for data collection, instrument calibration and equipment maintenance pre- and post-fieldwork and sea-going duties.
In addition, Cefas reserves the right to ask staff to take on additional duties and responsibilities which are commensurate with their grade. Team Leaders and management will have a discussion with staff to explain the changes that are to be made. A new job description will be issued if required.
