The division of surgery is looking to recruit a driven, self-motivated and experienced individual to join and lead our theatre team.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within senior theatre positions. They will bring with them service development experience, together with illustrating the ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team to maximum productivity, whilst also being able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion.
The theatre complex consists of 12 theatres covering both elective and emergency work. You will be joining and leading a dedicated, passionate, hardworking and welcoming team.

The Theatre Operational Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the theatre operating department. Through utilisation of leadership skills, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care and the efficient functioning of the theatre services.
This involves achievement of all operational performance and financial targets, whilst improving services aligned to best practice standards, to improve the quality of services provided within budget. Maximising theatre utilisation, Consultant compliance and maintaining clinical standards, the post holder will provide exceptional ethical leadership and direction to all staff across theatres, acting as the point of contact for advice and expertise relating to all operational issues.
As a Senior Manager within the Trust, the post holder will be responsible for translating the performance framework and commissioning intentions as part of setting the direction of travel.
