- Shadowing members of the team during negotiations and internal discussions on commercial/ contractual issues.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
The applicant would initially be required to assist with the management of administrative aspects of the Contract from the bidding phase through to the contract close down.
The role will involve working with Portfolio Leads/ Project Managers on drafting simple quotations and contract variations including checking final documentation and arranging signature via DocuSign. With support and guidance from a member of the team, the applicant will read and provide comment on simple contracts and agreements as part of the bidding process. This involves looking for set criteria within contracts to highlight potential issues where clauses deviate from Cefas standards.
The role also includes working closely with the Portfolio Leads to support contractual issues through regular interaction and meetings. There will also be other administration included in the role such as raising orders, arranging meetings and keeping the management information system up to date. The team continually look to evolve the service they provide to ensure efficiencies and improvements, there is an expectation that the applicant will participate in providing input and support any implementation as part of their role.
In addition, Cefas reserves the right to ask staff to take on additional duties and responsibilities which are commensurate with their grade. Team Leaders and management will have a discussion with staff to explain the changes that are to be made. A new job description will be issued if required.
