Crynodeb

We are seeking a Band 7 Psychologist to join our ‘Outstanding’ community Children’s and Young People’s services. You would be involved in shaping psychological provision within our Neurodevelopmental Service (NDS).

Full time or part time hours are availableand across Norfolk; including Kings Lynn and Norwich. Bases are negotiable and flexible working is supported and includes agile/home working where relevant. Working hours and preceptorship options can be discussed at interview.

The NDS offers diagnostic assessment and a range of post diagnostic workshops to support the lives of children and young people who have suspected Neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Your role will be varied and will include a range of assessment, formulation, post diagnostic group-based intervention and service development. This will include direct and indirect work with the children and young people that we support, as well as their families and the professional networks involved in their care.

Your role will include bringing a psychologically informed perspective through consultation to the clinical team and external agencies. There will be opportunities to contribute to the supervision, teaching and training of psychological practitioners and other professionals within the team.

You will utilise your research skills for audit, policy and service development, and dissemination of appropriate research evidence. Further involvement in research can also be supported where appropriate to the needs of the service.

Our supportive team values innovation, fosters development and is committed to improving the lives of the children and young people we work with. We are a forward thinking and Neuro-inclusive team. There will be the opportunity to liaise with other Psychologists working within the Trust. The Psychology Team within NCH&C offers excellent opportunities for CPD, research and teaching as well as close links with the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia.

Apply now to join an organisation that has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the highest possible rating and the first stand-alone NHS community trust in the country to be awarded the title.

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.

We would love to hear from candidates who have a passion for working with children and young people with Neurodevelopmental Disorders. We strongly encourage informal visits and discussion prior to application to discuss the role and answer any questions. Please contact Cherie Clayton (01603 272463) to arrange this.
