The posts are at Clinical Fellow level (ST1-2) in Neurosurgery for a 6 month periodin the first instance, although longer appointments can be arranged for the successfulcandidate following further discussion and/or a suitable trial period. There is a dedicatedin-house Consultant-led Neurosurgical teaching programme, and successful applicants will be supported in their broader professional and career development, particularly with reference to eventually obtaining the MRCS Examination. The successful candidate must befully GMCregistered with a license to practiceand (ideally) have some prior experience in Neurosurgery.
1:8 Resident Full-Shift On-Call (12 hours)

Clinical Governance:As part of the yearly Appraisal process, they would be strongly encouraged to be actively involved in Clinical Governance within the department during their employment.
Research:There are extensive opportunities to be involved in research whilst in post. The department has a very strong academic record, having been (and is currently) involved in several landmark Neurosurgical studies.
