Summary
I am an independent dance artist, teacher, facilitator, researcher, choreographer and Director of Jane Castree and… My work covers: Performance, Community & Youth. My passion is to champion and embrace diversity and accessibility, to create spaces of power sharing where everyone feels empowered to explore their imagination through physicality.
The Administrative Support Worker will support Jane Castree with general administrative duties to enable the effective, smooth and professional running of her artistic practice. The role is funded through the government’s Access to Work Scheme as Jane has dyslexia and payments will be made, on receipt of invoice, directly from the Scheme.
Hours: 6 hours per week (1.00-4.00pm Tuesdays / 9.00-12.00pm Thursdays) For approximately 44 weeks per year (with some flexibility)
Location: The Mill Arts Centre, Spiceball Park, Banbury (where Jane has an office / desk space)
Reports to: Jane Castree
Contract: This is a self-employed / freelance contract and the postholder will be responsible for their own tax and national insurance
Pay: £15 per hour
Probation period: 4 weeks
Notice period: 4 weeks
Job Description:
This is a part time position in a varied and satisfying role that requires IT and computer literacy, good organisational skills and the ability to be able to communicate effectively on the telephone, in person and by email. The postholder will need their own laptop. It would be desirable if the postholder had an interest in and knowledge of the performing arts, plus an understanding of diversity and equality, with a commitment to increasing access and social inclusion.
Duties:
• Send and respond to emails and deal with enquiries
• Setting up and maintaining excel spreadsheets
• Raising invoices
• Maintaining financial spreadsheets
• Processing data entries
• General office duties as required
