crooton has an exciting opportunity for a Qualifications Liaison Manager to join a global organisation which exists to promote and advance for the public benefits the science and practice of building and construction.


As Qualifications Liaison Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with our client's regional hubs and staff to achieve the Strategic Education Engagement Model objectives, which include embedding their programmes in education, promoting qualifications, engaging with regional bodies, developing relevant qualifications, and promoting the construction industry to young people.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Raising the profile of education products and qualifications among education providers and employers through creative approaches and meeting set targets
  • Providing training to education establishments and employers for the delivery of CIOB programmes and assessments including professional review, seminars, conferences (virtual and in person)
  • Providing support and training to colleges and training providers for the delivery of CIOB qualifications
  • Supporting students and candidates undertaking CIOB programmes
  • Delivery of programmes, events, and workshops
  • Scoping opportunities to develop new relationships with higher education institutions offering built and environment courses, to promote academic (MCIOB) and student membership, and development of Tomorrow Leaders communities and other stakeholders within the set region.
  • Working with the local stakeholders, Head of Qualifications, Policy team and CIOB Academy to identify opportunities for cross-selling, developing skills strategies and localising products that meet construction professionals' needs in preparing to work.


The ideal candidate will have or be:

  • Ideally educated to degree level or possessing equivalent experience; with significant experience in an education environment and in promoting education products and qualifications.
  • Experience working directly with students, graduates, university management and academic and other customers to provide information and advice on qualifications and professional roles in construction.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in training delivery, workshop delivery, implementing education programmes, and developing products and standards.
  • High standards of IT, database, MS Office, and cloud-based software experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
