Summary
This is a hybrid role, you will be working in the Leicester HQ office twice a week and at home for the remaining three days.
Part of the development pool within the IT & MI Business Solutions team, within the UK IT & MI Department.
The role will be primarily focused on developing new Robotic Process Automatons (RPAs) or enhancing existing ones. Primarily, the work will be to pick up an automation request after the Process Definition Document (PDD) is done and to produce Solution Design Document (SDD) then build the automation, support the testing stages, Go Live and Hypercare.
The role will also entail support/maintenance for all of the RPA processes covered by the UK IT & MI, as required. Work split is likely to be 80-90% new RPAs/RPA Enhancements and 10-20% RPA support/maintenance. This may change as the need arises.

Main duties of the role:
Development Work
- New automation Design work & User Story preparation, Estimation
- Automation development and unit/developer testing
- Support and bug fix for post development test stages of Qualification Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Go Live and Hypercare
- Attend the daily stand-up meetings, provide updates into own stories and be responsible for keeping the status own stories up to date in the tools used to track progress
- Attend other Meetings such as Automation demos, Development Retrospectives, UAT meetings, Go Live & Hypercare meetings, etc
- Ensure that documentation and change logs are maintained and kept up to date, reflecting the latest changes and developments accurately
Support/Maintenance
- End to end/full life cycle incident resolution for incidents concerning our catalogue of RPAs.
- Incident Resolution of all types, including but not limited to; Data Fixes, User Education, Code Fixes, Code Regression, File Manipulation, File/Data Loading
- Liaise with the IT & MI Business Solutions Manager to determine the priority level of application incidents where required
Ad-hoc Requests from IT Business Solutions Manager
- Any reasonable request from the IT & MI Business Solutions Manager or Head of IT & MI
Key skills and attributes required:
Key Technical
- Experience of developing UIPath RPA Processes, must be UIPath
- Experience of developing Unattended RPA processes using the REFramework
- Comfortable using UiPath Orchestrator for updating Assets and understanding Job Logs
Desirable Technical
- Experience of Attended RPAs is highly desirable
- Experience of Communications Mining would be an advantage
- Familiarity with Source Control and Build tools
- Experience of using APIs
- Experience of using spreadsheets (especially Google Sheets)
Personal
- Analytical, attention to detail, problem solver
Knowledge
- Knowledge of AGILE development processes and the software development life cycle, advantageous
