Purpose of the role:

The Divisional Risk Manager is a key role in the Division and is responsible for

delivering and maintaining Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programmes across the division including sectors in the CPS Division.

The role is an integral part of the Three Lines of defence model, providing assurance and oversight as part of the second line. There is also an expectation the individual will provide advice and subject matter expertise to improve risk management understanding and maturity at the first line. What you'll be doing:

• Implementation of the risk frameworks in CPS in accordance with group standards; coordinating the execution of elements as required i.e. event reporting, emerging risks, risk appetite, risk modelling, scenario analysis.
• Develop common procedures and best practice and processes to drive consistent application of the ERM framework across Sectors and Accounts.
• Assess Sector and Business unit risk maturity and own an action plan for developing maturity within Sectors.
• Support Divisional Head of Risk to develop ERM capability at first and second lines to ensure they are capable of delivering their responsibilities and to ensure the creation and maintenance of an effective working climate and continuous improvement ethos.
• Understand the business priorities of the Senior Leadership Team and then develop, continuously refine and implement a risk management strategy that will drive business performance.
• Support reporting / escalation of risk within the Accounts, Sectors and Division.
• Facilitate aggregation / escalation of Account risks to Sector level and in turn divisional level.
• Monitor, challenge and report risk related KPIs at Account, Sector and Divisional level.
• Support the Divisional Head of Risk to develop risk dashboards and reporting mechanisms
• Provide ERM training as and when required
• Review, challenge, and provide assurance to Divisional Head of Risk on ERM in CPS
• Facilitate and support risk deep dive or thematic risk review work where needed
• Provide 2nd line oversight on Key Control Questionnaire, GIA audit actions and other governance forum risk related actions.

What we're looking for:

• Professional qualification in audit or risk or equivalent experience.
• Degree education or demonstrable relevant work history
• Highly developed communication skills in all mediums
• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of management information
• Experience of working in a risk and compliance environment at a senior level
• Experience of engaging with senior stakeholders in pursuit of objectives
• Competent in using IT systems including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience of using data or evidence to draw clear conclusions
• Expert knowledge of international standards including ISO31000
• Strong knowledge of Capita Group Risk Management Framework
• Demonstrable experience of working with Senior Management to design, embed, facilitate, and monitor best in class ERM
