A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


This role will be 100% clinical with weekly activities planned as follows:
Gynaecological Oncology.

This is a 6-month post with the possibility to extend to 12-months subject to a satisfactory review. The post will start in August 2024.

The postholder will take part in all gynaecological oncology clinical activities (clinics in the MacMillan Cancer Centre, MDM, ward rounds and theatre lists) for 3.5 days per week and will support the general gynaecology rota for 1.5 days per week. Gynaecological oncology activities will be coordinated with the subspecialty gynaecological oncology trainee activities and will usually include an MDT and 2 theatre lists per week (one robotic and one gynae oncology) +/- clinic attendance on a flexible timetable. There is no out-of-hours on call commitment attached to this post.

Expected clinical activity of the post:
• To prepare cases for and attend the Gynae-Oncology MDT (Tuesday from 15.15 – 18.30hrs) and action any clinical requests arising from the meeting in conjunction with the subspecialty trainees.
• To attend Gynae-Oncology operating lists (Wednesday robotic gynae-oncology and Thursday or Friday gynae-oncology lists 7.30 to 19.00hrs). The successful applicant will be trained and achieve BIARGS certification to be the first assistant in robotic cases and will be given the opportunity to perform appropriate cases under supervision.
• To provide care for Gynae-Oncology inpatients
