As a MSW, you will assist the qualified staff in delivering a caring and effective, patient focused service in keeping with the aims, objectives, and standards of the Trust

You will ensure that there is a safe care environment by preparing and clearing rooms and equipment with particular reference to infection control and safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff

You'll be a key part of the maternity team and will ensure you communicate with teammates in an open, and effective way to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of people who use health and care services and their carers.

• Performs clinical baseline observations
• Records and documents episodes of care in accordance with Guidelines
• Liaises with other departments and members of the multidisciplinary team
• As a member of the Antenatal Clinic Team, the post holder assists the qualified staff in delivering a caring and effective, patient focused service in keeping with the aims, objectives and standards of the Trust
• Assist with the maintenance of a safe care environment including preparing and clearing rooms and equipment with particular reference to infection control and safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff

Working as part of the antenatal clinic team we ensure we communicate in an open, and effective way to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of people who use health and care services and their carers.

It may be necessary for you to assist the needs of the service at times and this will involve working on other areas of Maternity. Full training will be given in all areas.

For this role, the hours will mainly be spread across Monday to Friday with 7.5 hour shifts between 0800-1800hrs to accommodate the clinic operational hours. However, there may be an expectation that you need to work weekends and nights for emergency or additional cover.
