The Control Room Supervisor will develop and lead operational excellence and best practice; optimising our service and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. You will bring innovation and leadership and ensure a high-performance culture within your remit. This is an active and visible role requiring strong leadership competence in addition to entrepreneurial ability. Customer interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required.
This is for a new public space that’s destined to completely revive the Paddington area, both above and below ground, with a mix of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, and an inviting piazza. This striking structure will be visible across the London skyline, and will feature 360,000 square feet of spacious, light-filled office space with views across London and 78,000 square feet of retail space. Visitors to the rooftop restaurant can dine, relax and enjoy 270-degree panoramic vistas of Hyde Park, Westminster and the City.

Position: Control Room Supervisor
Location: London (W2)
Pay Rate: £15.23 per hour
Hours: Average 42 hours per week
Shifts: 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights

Job Requirements:

SIA CCTV Licence required
SIA Licence (DS or SG) required
CCTV security Supervisor experience required
Excellent PC skills and Microsoft knowledge required
Experience of working in a demanding, high-pressure environment
Excellent understanding of access control & CCTV systems
Customer focused, with a strong knowledge of customer service skills
Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-tasking
Excellent written and verbal communication
Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
Team player, who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve service delivery
Ability to think and act quickly in emergency incidents or under pressure

The Control room Supervisor is responsible for aiding the Duty Security Manager in controlling the shift operational requirements in line with the customer and contractual expectations. The Control room Supervisor plays an integral role in ensuring that consistently high standards of security, safety and customer care are always delivered. The CRS will also lead on all control room operations including emergencies and day to day operations.
Job Requirements:

Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery
Ensure that all security personnel always adhere to their duties and policies and procedures of the site, reporting any breach of these to the Duty Security Manager and the Security Operations Manager
To monitor the CCTV cameras within the Security Control Room
Arrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident management, in line with the CCTV Code of Practice
Prepare and maintain the Security Control Room equipment for operational use
Ensure the Security Control Room is kept tidy
To monitor, operate and report all Security Control Room technologies (intruder alarms, access control systems, BMS, fire alarm system, lift intercoms, lift monitoring stations)
To be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly as illustrated in the Assignment Instructions
Inspect equipment for failures and faults, reporting these in line with procedures
Maintain accurate daily electronic occurrence log records
Maintain the Zinc system, ensuring all assets are accounted for, all patrols are completed, and all compliance checks are completed
Reporting any discrepancies on the site systems to your Duty Security Manager & Security Operations Manager
Producing site access control passes and reports when required
Responsible for the administration of lost & found property
Book on all members of the security team correctly at the start of each shift
Check SIA licences & CIS ID’s of all oncoming team members
Report any issues or incidents to the Duty Security Manager or Security Operations Manager
Respond to all incidents in line with policies and procedures
Ensure all incidents and issues are formally investigated and recorded
Assist the Duty Security Manager and Security Manager as per the needs of the site
Provide effective support during incidents and lead incident response in the Duty Security Manager’s absence
Maintain a high level of morale and discipline within the team, taking into consideration their welfare
Carry out training with Security Officer’s and ensure that there are suitable personnel on your shift able to step up and cover your role.
To cover for the Duty Security Manager in any instance of absence.
Monitor, report and update the site training matrix.
Produce daily roster for team to adhere to and ensure shifts is fully covered.
Produce reports and escalate matters to correct authority in the instructed manner.
Assist DSM and Security Operations manager in recruitment of team members.
Produce and assist in the production of SOP’s, checks and new processes.
Ensure all team members are aware of new instructions.
Oversee and operate Gallagher access control system, Milestone CCTV system, Siemens and Desigo fire alarm system, Zinc Synapse reporting and mass communication system, I Auditor reports and checks and Motorola RX7 radio system and head end.
