What you'll do

As a Governance Associate, you’ll be working closely with our Company Secretaries, providing professional governance support and legal entity management to boards, colleagues and other stakeholders.

As well as providing professional administrative support by organising effective meetings, you’ll be delivering accurate, robust minutes and effective action management.

You’ll also be:

  • Acting as a credible, confidential corporate governance counsel, delivering guidance to stakeholders with respect to corporate governance requirements, Companies Act 2006 requirements and meeting administration
  • Meticulous in maintaining our legal entity records and making updates to them
  • Looking ahead for opportunities to simplify or automate processes
  • Working with colleagues to identify opportunities to deliver better outcomes including supporting the delivery of everchanging regulatory requirements
  • Making sure that papers for all boards are compliant with guidelines and are circulated in an accurate, secure and timely manner

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for a company secretarial administrator with the ability to maintain high quality standards and real attention to detail in a high volume environment. You’ll have experience of providing company secretarial services or be a qualified or part qualified company secretary or lawyer.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Professionalism in interacting and communicating with people at all levels
  • A collaborative and precise approach to work
  • The ability to manage highly confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, reacting quickly to changing priorities
  • Flexibility on hours and the ability to work as part of a team, in a time critical environment
  • Knowledge of the Companies Act 2006
  • IT skills including the use of MS Office packages
