Full Time, Permanent (43 hours per week)
Serco Defence are recruiting for a Security Guard to join the team at TCS Oakhanger in Bordon, this role will support the contract at MOD Oakhanger. This role will help to ensure we meet all customer requirements and will involve undertaking all physical security duties as and where required including patrolling, searching, and escorting visitors and contractors and maintaining the integrity of the site. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent time keeping and good customer service skills. Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Comply and contribute with the requirements of the contract and KPIs and the Business Continuity Plan.
- Comply with the SMS Policies Standards, GSOPs, CSOPs, LOPs and local MOD TCS procedures.
- Be aware of the Safety Risk and Compliance objectives set by Serco Defence and contribute to their completion.
- Understand and respond to changes in the Home Office threat levels and MOD Counter Terrorist Response Levels as instructed by higher authority.
- Act as first line defence to support the TCS site mission.
- Carry out patrols and escort duties, vehicle and bag searches as required.
- Correct operation of site CCTV, IDS, Entry Control Systems.
- Liaise with other Site Security personnel and outside agencies as appropriate.
- Assist the training of new Security Guards as required.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Hold a Security Industry Authority Licence (SIA) to include First Aid at Work certificate
- Hold a valid Full UK
- Manual Driving Licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
- Eligible UK Passport holder
- Effective communication skills.
- Good people skills and leadership ability.
- Experience of working in a secure government environment.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office Suites.
- Be able to hold an SC Security Clearance.
- Adherence to US clearance requirements to ensure access to US IT systems.
