Summary

The Growth Company (GC) are looking for an Ecosystem Manager to direct and develop the Fire Up Rochdale Centre, a vibrant community business that supports economic growth.

As an Ecosystem Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering GC Business Growth Hub programmes, as well as establishing and growing a network that enables creativity, drive, and entrepreneurial talent to thrive. GC need someone business-minded, who can engage with GC partners and clients effectively, to increase our network presence and business development activity too.

GC Business Growth Hub is a community of specialists with a passion for helping businesses across Greater Manchester to realise their ambitions. Since 2011, the Hub has supported more than 15,000 businesses including start-ups, scale-ups, and established businesses, providing finance guidance, creating international links, and paving the way for innovation and people development across the region. We work with the best of public and private partners, offering expert one-to-one and peer-to-peer business support, events, specialist programmes, funding and much more.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a Business Advisor and support established business to support them to their growth.
Increase the number of businesses and entrepreneurs supported at Fire Up Rochdale.
Support and manage the development/improvement of our contractual obligations regarding (but not exclusively) – room booking systems, IT & telecoms, CRM, and the overall building management service.
Be responsible for the operational running of the Fire Up centre and customer satisfaction.
Identify and evaluate influential contacts in new or existing partners to promote the centre and develop prospects/potential tenants.
Plan an annual programme of business support, leveraging support from other advisors.
Enact a Business Development plan to promote Fire Up Rochdale, such as attending relevant networking & other events in Rochdale (and the wider area).
Develop and run Social Value visitor sessions for schools, further education & higher education institutes.
Support the reception staff so that, at all times, the service runs smoothly, tenants are supported, and tenants and visitors alike receive exceptional customer service.

Experience supporting or leading or establishing large businesses.
Management/Leadership experience.
Highly efficient account management.
Well-developed IT Skills.
Excellent Presentation Skills.
Can network and develop relationships at various levels.
Must have a valid driving license and access to a car.
