TheBarts Cancer Centreat St Bartholomew’s Hospital is looking for Nurses who are interested in looking after patients with cancer in a variety of different settings.

We are the second largest Cancer centre in London and have opportunities across medical oncology wards, haematology wards and the chemotherapy day unit. New starters will be welcomed by a dedicated team of practice development nurses who will assess all of your learning requirementsregardless of experience.Nurses with previous cancer experience will have the opportunity to commence chemotherapy training courses early on while others may need time to adapt to the speciality. Most of ourtraining opportunitiesfor chemotherapy are in-house but we also commission many academic courses from external providers. We are also offering arotational postwithin the Cancer Centre so that nurses can be exposed to all of the career opportunities that cancer nursing offers. You will work with a variety of skilled professionals, from leaders in cancer research, advanced clinical nurse specialists and a variety of Allied Health Professionals.

1. Job Purpose


• To provide the highest standard of individualised and holistic patient care to cancer patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.


• To supervise and teach junior members of staff and learners as required, and maintain own personal development with support.


• To provide high quality nursing care to patients and their families, in accordance with agreed policies.
