Role: Residential Care Worker
Location: Bloxwich
Hours: 36-hour contract
Shift Pattern: 2 on 4 off
Salary: up to £29,088 pa* (overtime may be available)

We provide a safe, stable and caring environment for children and young people to make their home.
Our children and young people’s ages range from 8 up to 18 years old and they have often experienced high levels of trauma, neglect, and crisis in their young lives, resulting in them experiencing complex challenges.
If you feel you could make a positive difference for these children and young people, you’ll be a perfect fit within the role.
What is essential for this role?
You will need to have had at least 12 months experience working with children/young people. (Essential)
What will be expected from you as a Residential Care Worker?
An NVQ/Diploma Level 3, or equivalent, in Children & Young people is preferred for this role.**
Creating positive relationships and meeting the needs of our children and young people
Using your experience and skills – further developed with our support and training, you will assist with the care of our children and young people
An excellent understanding of safeguarding
An ability to articulate and ensure comprehensive record keeping
Preferred - Previous experience within an OFSTED regulated residential setting
Preferred - Driver with full UK driving licence

*£24,336 pa without qualification with an additional £2,880 for sleep-in’s
£26,208 pa with qualification with an additional £2,880 for sleep-in’s
** If you do not have this qualification and are successful after interview you would be expected to enroll to complete the qualification whilst working. Upon completion your salary would then be increased in line with other qualified members of the team
***We will pay for your initial DBS check, where it is then your responsibility to either join the update service or pay for a new certificate upon renewal date (every 2 years).
