Systemic Family Therapist

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work within our Doncaster CAMHS team, we are looking to recruit a band 7 Systemic Family Therapist. The successful applicant will have completed the master’s level training in Systemic Family Therapy at University and accreditation with the UKCP. The post holder will be situated in our Getting Help pathway within CAMHS and will work closely with family therapy, CBT, and clinical psychology colleagues. Excellent communication skills, motivation, and self-direction, as well as the ability to manage your own caseload are required for this role.

The role will be supported by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist who is Care Group Lead for Psychological Professionals and together there will be an expectation that a robust structure for service delivery, including clear staff development opportunities are in place.

Job Summary/Purpose

This is a Systemic Family Therapist post.

The post holder will have completed Masters level in Systemic Family Therapy and accreditation with UKCP, however applications will be welcomed and considered for a development post, however you must be enrolled onto the Masters Course for the Systemic Family Therapy training.

You will be required to work as an autonomous clinician providing specialist assessments, care co-ordination and treatment to children and young people with a range of psychological and emotional disorders.
• To provide consultation and education to Trust staff and external agencies.
• To provide expertise in all aspects of Systemic Family Therapy to clients, carers and significant others.
• To support the Team Leader in providing clinical supervision and support to colleagues.

Whilst in training a specific development plan will be agreed with the lead family therapist that will include duties and responsibilities in keeping with a training post that will be aimed towards fulfilling the full band 7 Family Therapy job description (attached).
