The Cancer Services Team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust has a fantastic 37.5 hour per week permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual who is looking for a challenge in a post that is both interesting and varied.
You will be responsible primarily for providing an effective tracking and administration service in the management of cancer patients to achieve National Cancer Waiting Time targets, and in line with the local standards.

Duties will include planning and organising MDT meetings, managing the patient through the cancer pathway, highlighting delays or potential issues and proactively resolving these. Maintaining accurate data on Somerset Cancer Register and ensuring the patients can be monitored through a patient tracking list (PTL) are also core duties. The role works closely with clinical teams and Operational Business Managers.
You will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the desire to work in a patient focussed environment. You will also need to have good IT and organisational skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people, both face to face and over the telephone, as well as work effectively as part of the team. The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines is essential.
You will also need to be able to work using your own initiative and without direct supervision.
Experience in a clerical / administration role is essential. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cancer targets and patient pathways.
