Summary


An opportunity has arisen to assist the Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service (MCISS) to deliver a comprehensive cancer information & support service to people affected by cancer across Salford and to co ordinate cancer health & wellbeing provision to people affected by cancer through a variety of appropriate methods.

To assist the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Services (MCISS) team to continue to manage and deliver a comprehensive cancer information and support service, for people affected by cancer, their families, friends, health and social care professionals across the Salford Care Organisation.



To work alongside clinical teams to co-ordinate and deliver health and wellbeing offer across the NCA. This will include, but is not limited to, organising face to face health and wellbeing events for cancer patients and their loved ones taking into consideration logistics such as; venue, speakers, information relevant to the audience. Having individual health and wellbeing conversations with patients and exploring digital solutions.



Co-ordinate or support the co-ordination of the Cancer Health and Wellbeing Programme across the Northern Care Alliance. This includes managing the logistics and supporting the clinical teams to deliver elements of the programme. To be the point of contact for those involved in the delivery of Cancer Health and Well-being. Support communications and marketing activity related to the events.



To recruit and manage user representatives to ensure that they are utilised effectively and supported within their roleincluding sourcing and supporting them with appropriate projects to be involved in.



Identify and collate patient stories working collaboratively with clinical teams in a sensitive manner.
