Hours available are: 7:30-10:30am (15 hours), 7:30am-2:30pm (32.5 hours) or 1pm-6pm (25 hours)

DAYS: Monday - Friday (51 weeks per year)

Salary starts from £11.44 p/h depending on experience

A superb opportunity has arisen to join the team at Daisychain Day Nursery in Norton. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can bring unique skills and innovation to our Nursery.

Having proven experience of working with children under the age of five for 3 or more years in an Early Years setting is an advantage. Having a qualification at level 3 in Early Years Childcare is Desirable but not Essential.

You must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2 or above in Childcare/Early Years. Working towards a Level 3 in Early Years Childcare is also equivalent.

You must be able to work as a member of the nursery team to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences that meet their individual’s needs. Taking a shared responsibility for the welfare, learning and development of children within the nursery, working with initiative and creativity to foster an environment which encourages children’s all round development.

Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

To comply with Nursery Policies and Procedures to ensure that the welfare requirements within the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework are met.
Assist in the Planning of an attractive and stimulating range of experiences and activities for children suitable to their age range and individual interests that develops both numeracy and language skills. Ensuring you provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
Observe each child and shape their learning experience to reflect your observations, reports and reflect on children's progression and learning outcomes.
Ensure that the children are kept safe and that you have a strong understanding and knowledge of Safeguarding and Child protection procedures.
Help to maintain accurate and effective children’s records.
Work in partnership with family members and carers to provide an effective liaison on a day to day basis regarding with welfare, learning and development of the children.
Research and learn about developments in childcare and education policy and practice.
Daisychain Day Nursery are committed to the Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful candidates must be willing to undertake any further training deemed necessary to fill this post including any relevant Safeguarding qualifications, Paediatric First Aid Training and Level 2 Food Hygiene. It expects all the staff to share this commitment. All appointees must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, be able to provide at least 2 references including 1 from your last/ current employment and a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
