Responsibilities
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will:
- Perform routine and cyclic maintenance on public highways.
- Undertake minor civil works including pothole repairs, kerb laying, and drainage.
- Other duties include traffic management and vegetation clearance.
- Be on standby for winter and emergency maintenance out-of-hours.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence with 7.5 tonne or HGV Class 2 entitlement.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Streetworks (NRSWA) Qualification.
- Previous highways experience, including black top and white work patching.
- All candidates will undergo drug and alcohol testing prior to starting and will be subject to random testing.
Desirable Qualifications
- Traffic Management Qualifications (TTMBC, 12D, 12AB).
- Plant Operation Tickets.
Working Hours
Choose between day and night shifts:
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30
- Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 19:15 – 04:45
