Summary

We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own, in-house contracts.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Control Centre Operator to join our Highways Business.

Based within the Volker Highways Control Centre, the Control Centre Operator is an indispensable part of the proactive and reactive response service for all Volker Highways contracts, being the first point of contact for the emergency response calls from various organisations. The tasks undertaken in this role ensure that the network is safe for the public and without congestion by allocating works to the operatives for emergency and miscellaneous tasks in a co-ordinated manner. The role will also include using Volker Highways' ATOM system, ERCC App and various client systems by instructing and monitoring works orders, permits and emergency responses which are essential to ensuring the company is contractually compliant in all operational matters.

About you

  • An understanding of Emergency response
  • An understanding of the highway authority contracts
  • Previous experience in a control centre environment desirable
