Summary

Applications are invited for a new post as a Lecturer in Pharmacoepidemiology. This post presents an exciting opportunity to develop research projects related to real-world data and pharmacoepidemiology of medication safety and effectiveness, as well as undertake and support high-impact big data research within Aston Pharmacy School.

The post-holder will work closely with the Regius Chair in Pharmacy and is expected to contribute to, develop and enhance the research, scholarship and teaching activities of the School either independently or as part of a team, through professional practice and expertise. Applicants must have a good undergraduate degree in a relevant subject and a PhD (or be close to completing one) in pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiology, statistics, big data analytics, or a related field.

Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to teaching, assessment and student support within pharmacy and be responsible for the evaluation, design and content of specific areas of teaching within the Pharmacy School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applicants should have a Fellowship of Advance HE (formerly known as the Higher Education Academy) or a commitment to obtain a Fellowship once in post.
